Covid Stats – Past the peak?

The number of deaths registered in England and Wales fell sharply in the week to 1 May – let’s hope this continues in the next week.

The proportion of excess deaths accounted for by Covid-19 continues to be in the range 70-75% so the proportion of excess deaths from unknown causes remains relatively small, this is good as early indications and evidence from other countries suggested this could be substantially larger.
